Rum Swizzle Cocktail Pack provides all of the alcoholic ingredients to make a Rum Swizzle – a rum-based cocktail often called “Bermuda’s national drink”. The Royal Gazette has referred to it as “the legendary Sam swizzle… perfect for sharing and irresistible to locals and tourists alike. It has been said that this cocktail is “as much a part of Bermuda Island culture and cuisine as is the Bermuda onion, the vibrant hibiscus, or the graceful Bermuda Longtail.

Goslings Black Seal Rum 700ml
Goslings Gold Seal Rum 700ml
Taylor’s Velvet Falernum 700ml
Angostura Bitters 200ml
(glassware and pre-made cocktail not included!)
In case you were wondering, Falernum (pronounced fah-learn-um) is a sweet syrup used in Caribbean and tropical drinks. It contains flavors of almond, ginger and/or cloves, and lime, and sometimes vanilla or allspice. Some reports have the origination of falernum dated back to the 18th century.

Rum Swizzle Cocktail Pack for making the famous ‘Bermuda Rum Swizzle’:
INGREDIENTS (Makes 6)
120ml Gosling’s Black Seal Rum
120ml Gosling’s Gold Rum
150ml Pineapple Juice
150ml Orange Juice
6 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Optional but recommended: Add lots of fresh lime juice (makes it less sweet)
Into a pitcher ⅓ full of crushed ice add Gosling’s Black Seal Rum, Gosling’s Gold Rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, Falernum and Angostura bitters. Churn vigorously until a frothing appears or mix in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a martini glass.
Over the years, Gosling’s Black Seal Rum has become synonymous with the Bermuda region – it is an essential ingredient in the island flavour to the ‘Bermuda Rum Swizzle’, as well as being the tempest in Bermuda’s favorite cocktail, the ‘Dark ‘n Stormy’.
