RL Seales 10 Year Rum is distilled, blended and bottled by the R.L. Seale company and Foursquare Rum Distillery on the gentle southern slopes of the St George Valley, St Philip, Barbados.
R.L. Seale is one of Barbados’ oldest trading houses, a family-owned business whose involvement in rum making extends from father-to-son since 1820. Current head distiller, Richard L. Seale, is one of the region’s most innovative distillers and blenders and has a passion for producing perfect rum with great flavour.
The Foursquare Distillery occupies the site of a former sugar factory that dates back to 1636 and, as one of the most modern and efficient rum distilleries in the world, is designed to be both highly energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The distillery produces light rums in a three-column vacuum still and heavier rums in a modern pot still.
Not much introduction is needed, this is part of the renowed core range from Foursquare Distillery (Barbados). The R.L. Seale comes as a 10 year old. It is Molasses based, a blend of pot and column distillates aged for 10 years in ex-Bourbon barrels in Barbados. Bottled at 46% ABV without any other additions.
RL Seales 10 Year Rum is just one of many renowned expressions from Foursquare, including the Doorly’s range – a tribute of the House of Martin Doorly, and the rum sustains the old Bajan family-owned business with one of the oldest brands produced on Barbados.
