Brix Spiced Rum is meticulously hand crafted by Brix Distillers.
Brix was born out of a love for rum. Over time this love turned into passion for discovery, experimentation, appreciation & adventure. The team behind Brix discovered that rum in Australia was not being reflected in the right light. So they have set out for change.
In 2017, Brix Distillers set out to find a site where they could establish an urban distillery that showcased the best that Australia has to offer. They found a home on Bourke Street, Surry Hills & loved it. Brix challenged themselves to source the best quality Australian molasses, fresh organic sugar cane, an Australian made copper still, the best quality native spices & Australian wine barrels from some of the best wine making regions of the world.
Brix Distillers goal is to combine these amazing ingredients to create a unique Aussie rum. A rum that can be enjoyed in the bars of Australia and in our own backyards. Brix now produce a variety of unique rums and are in the process of barrel ageing many more styles and varieties to be released in the years to come. They aim to have our first barrel release sometime in 2021, having aged in Australian wine barrels up against Sydney’s unique & sometimes erratic climate.
In the meantime, the Brix Spiced Rum along with the Brix White Rum and Brix Gold Rum are here to stay and will be joined by some fun & interesting small batch releases and collaborations along the way.
