Transcontinental Rum Line Panama 15 Year Gift Box

, , , ,

Transcontinental Rum Line Panama 15 Year Gift Box is 15 Year solera rum from Panama. This version has been aged for 15 years in a tropical climate using the solera system, before continuing its maturation for almost one year in a continental climate.

Particularly expressive, the initial nose immediately sets the tone for a tasting whose golden rule is harmony. A succession of strong emotions and more peaceful sequences, the palette of flavours and aromas is also exuberant, medicinal, heady and even exotic when required.

Gift presentation box and two Transcontinental Rum Line fine tasting glasses included. A perfect Christmas gift!

Tasting Notes: On the initial nose, coconut, dried apricot and candied orange accompany vanilla/bourbon and heady florals (hyacinth, rose). Allowed to breathe, the nose becomes honeyed (heather), spicy (cinnamon) and milky (cane juice, almond). On the palate reveals a well-balanced, silky rum with fruity (orange), vanilla, creamy and spicy (ginger). Gradually, heady tuberose flavours flood the palate, remaining for a long time. The exotic (persimmon, guava) end of the palate is also slightly earthy and medicinal (camphor). The appearance of assorted jams (apricot, quince, apple) gradually makes for a very unctuous palette of flavours.
The finish is long and rich.

Transcontinental Rum Line Panama 15 Year Gift Box is part of the the TCRL brand from La Maison & Velier. Launched in 2016, this new brand of rum has seduced lovers of barrel proof and high-end rum.

The Transcontinental Rum Line or TCRL is inspired by historic voyages of rum casks between the New World and the Old Continent (Europe). From the beginning of its production, rum has always been shipped to Europe for nautical, economical and technical reasons.

  • Nautical, because it permitted to avoid stagnant water consumption during long transatlantic crossings.
  • Economical, since the angel share is lower and the rum matures more smoothly.
  • Technical, because the know-how of Cognac and Scotland’s cellar masters plus the diversity of barrels allowed to create unique expressions.

For the sake of transparency, each bottling of the series displays its proportion of aging in continental climate.
