666 St Ali Coffee Vodka

, ,

666 St Ali Coffee Vodka is the world’s first cold filtered coffee spirit. Australia has arguably the most diverse, successful, tasty and vibrant coffee roasting and drinking culture in the world, with St Ali the leader in the coffee scene. With experts, Matt Perger and St Ali, 666 Vodka combined their passion for vodka with this coffee expertise. Matt is Australian Barista of the Year, 2nd in the world at the World Barista Championship and World Coffee in Good Spirits champion.

Together they refined their own version of the Aeropress technique, using reduced temperatures to control the extraction using 666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka instead of water. The direct low temperature extraction gives us a stable flavour, and allows us to fine tune the strength to exactly match the profile of the roast and blend. St Ali roast and blend a unique variation of their classic Chompy beans just for us.

TASTING NOTES:  Sweet strong coffee, lots of smooth bitterness, with a long, clean finish. Good round flavours of espresso, full in the mouth, powerful and clean. Lots of spice, nutmeg, vanilla, and citrus peel.

666 St Ali Coffee Vodka  is made in North West Tasmania from Tasmanian Barley, fermented in Tasmania, pot distilled in Tasmania, filtered in Tasmania and bottled in Tasmania with Cape Grim water.

Every stage of production is handled with the utmost care, ensuring all the flavours of the beautiful natural environment stay in the bottle.

666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka starts life as Tasmanian Barley. It’s harvested, mashed and fermented in Tasmania. As with every element of production, the fermented barley is handled gently, moving from fermentation to slow, single batch distillation using copper pot stills. After pot distillation, the spirit is mellowed the spirit with charcoal. This final filtration is done very slowly, using only the highest grade activated charcoal, ensuring that we remove all the impurities, but retain the character and flavour of our delicious Pure Tasmanian Vodka. The final stage of production is blending the Pure vodka with the world’s purest rain, Cape Grim Water. Cape Grim, on the north west tip of Tasmania, just along the road from our distillery, has the world’s purest air and water.

The result is our velvety smooth, yet distinctly clean tasting Pure Tasmanian Vodka.
