Rums have been produced on the Caribbean island of Antigua for close to 350 years. These relatively light-bodied styles were originally created to satisfy discerning clientele from the British Royal Navy. Rums under the English Harbour label are today produced via copper pot distillation and maturated in small oak barrels.
Tasting note: English Harbour 10 Year Rum is burnish amber color. Caramel, mocha, creamy banana custard and spice aromas follow through on a supple entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with very good depth and balance of flavor. Finishes with nutty praline cookie, dried fruit , and lavish baking spice on the long fade. Excellent and stylish.
