Velier Royal Navy Very Old Rum was created by Luca Gargano of Velier and is the oldest blend of British Caribbean rums of the 21st century.

This very old blend comprises Caroni aged for more than 20 years, British Guyana rums over 15 years old and Jamaican pure single rums over 12 years old. With such a pedigree, it is easy to see why this beautiful rum is so spellbinding. Velier Royal Navy Rum is the oldest blend of British Caribbean rums of the 21st century, and at Navy Strength of 57.18%, is one of just a few examples today that conveys the traditional Navy Style profile.

Tasting Notes: Cocoa bean, peach and spices. Chocolatey and floral. Citrus fruit (orange), strawberry and papaya. The elegant attack reveals vanilla and a hint of petrol rising from the bottom of the glass long after the tasting that is unmistakably from the long lost Caroni distillery in Trinidad.

Splice the mainbrace with a tot of Velier Royal Navy Rum each Black Tot Day – commemorating the last rum ration issued aboard ships of the British Royal Navy on 31st July 1970.
