Hampden 12 Years Rare Cask Boxed Set 5x700ml brings together all five expressions of the Hampden 2010 Rare Cask Series – No. 11, 24, 78, 79 and 80 – selected to represent the most authentic identity of the historic Jamaican distillery. Each bottle is sourced from a single cask aged for 12 years in a tropical climate and bottled pure at full strength.

The series reflects Hampden Estate’s technical and stylistic excellence, with flavour profiles that vary depending on the cask: from exuberant and intense Pure Single Rums with high ester content to more balanced ones where fruity, spicy, balsamic and fermentation notes intertwine. Each expression is the result of prolonged natural fermentation and discontinuous pot still distillation.

Hampden 12 Years Rare Cask Boxed Set 5x700ml (the complete set of 5 limited editions), consisting of all 12 year-old Single Casks single Marks releases from the distillery.

The ‘Rare Cask’ series consists of 5 bottlings from as many ex-bourbon casks distilled in 2010 and selected from some of Hampden’s oldest stocks. They have all been aged for 12 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica and represent 3 different marks, thus different ester levels: 3 HLCF, 1 HGML and DOK, Hampden Estate’s most powerful mark.

Hampden Estate is an iconic distillery in the Trelawny area in northern Jamaica, where rum is still produced using ancient techniques, ingredients that are unique to the Caribbean, wild fermentation – the best expression of the land – and distillation in characteristic double retort pot stills. For this reason, Hampden Estate is increasingly the heart of Jamaican rum tradition and identity.
