Inspired by a love of arthouse cinema, Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin takes it cues from the black and white cult classic, Nosferatu.

Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin is lovingly distilled, under the cloak of darkness, in ‘The Schreck’, a coffin-shaped pot still (believe that if you will) in a dusty old South Melbourne cellar.

With its distinctive red hue, Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin is delicate, yet packs a punch with botanicals such as Albanian juniper berries, blood orange peel, fresh navel oranges, dried orange peel, roasted fenugreek, coriander seeds, cardamom seeds, wormwood and angelica root. No artificial colours.

Its love at first bite with when you succumb to the sweet aromas of orange and spice in this oh-so-heady gin. As a true cult classic, our delicious, viscous gin punches above its weight. Oh, and there’s just a little bite at the end.

As with all classics, treat it with respect. Fill a Copa de Balon with the best ice you can find, add a generous nip of Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin, top up with a quality tonic and finish off with a sliver of blood orange. Cheers.

Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin is crafted by Nosferatu Distillery, Melbourne VIC.

Chapter 1.

Once upon a time, there lived a boy called Rory. When he was young, he loved to draw and paint and make things. When he grew up, he went to Art College, studied Film and got a job. After a few years of making second-rate commercials, he realised he wasn’t going to hit the big time in Hollywood, so he had a change of tack and moved into the world of wine and spirits.

Many years later, he had an idea to make some gin, a great love of his, and Nosferatu Distillery was born. With a little help from his friends, he created Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin, the first in a series of gins inspired by film and the arts.

While Rory didn’t win an Oscar for his commercials, he did win the prize for BEST GIN BOTTLE IN AUSTRALIA at the Australian Gin Awards in 2018 for Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin. Since then, Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin has gone on to win more awards and hearts & has gathered quite a cult following.

Chapter 2.

Part two of our story begins with the birth of Mandrake Cucumber and Mint Gin, the younger, mischievous sibling of Nosferatu. Following in the cinematic footsteps of Nosferatu, Mandrake Cucumber and Mint Gin was inspired by the mythical Mandrake Root, which has been featured in folklore, legend, the Bible, Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, and famously in J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter films & novels.

Chapter 3.

Part three of our tale is yet to be written. But rest assured, the next installment in our series will be sure to enchant all those who drink it.
